COVID Vaccination Programme
The practice will soon be contacting eligible patients to book in for their Covid vaccination. Patients will be contacted in order of clinical need as set by national guidance (see here). In order to keep the phone lines free for people with urgent medical problems please DO NOT contact the surgery about the vaccination until we have asked you to book your appointment. Regular updates will be posted here on the website. If you read that you fall in to a group who have been invited to make an appointment, but you have not been contacted, then you should of course call the practice to let us know.
If you have been invited to book your COVID vaccine appointment you MUST read the COVID vaccine information available here.
If you require transport to and from the vaccine site we are aware the Syston Volunteers Service are able to provide transport for the cost of £10 for a round trip. The volunteers are all DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked. They can be contacted on 0116 2607888.
Blood Tests During the Pandemic
The practice continues to offer pre-bookable blood test appointments to all of our patients; these can be booked by calling the practice. During the pandemic we are regrettably unable to offer a walk-in blood clinic as it would not be possible to do this and maintain social distancing. Patients may be able to obtain an earlier appointment by arranging to have their blood taken at an alternative local venue. These clinics can be booked by calling: 0300 300 1003
*If you have a new continuous cough and/or a high temperature (>37.8C), please do not attend the surgery and self-isolate at home.*
*As per new guidance, we require that all patients who are attending the Practice to wear a face covering, which they themselves must provide.*

Note to Patients:
Please continue to use SystmOnline (button below) to order your repeat medication.
The practice is pleased to be able to offer e-consult appointments.
E-consults submitted before 16:00 will receive a same day response. They can be used for new and existing medical problems. You may request a response from a specific doctor and we will try to accommodate this where possible.
You can specify if you would like an online message or telephone response. The e-consult system is not a barrier to you speaking to your doctor; in fact, it should make this easier.
If you need to be seen in person you and your doctor can arrange that in the consultation.

Due to government guidance requiring the practice to maintain a safe socially distanced environment we are unfortunately unable to reinstate our walk-in blood test clinic at this time. Therefore we will temporarily be unable to provide appointments for blood tests requested by hospital clinics. All blood tests requested by the practice will continue to be performed at the practice. An alternative service has been commissioned for blood tests requested by the hospital. Therefore we ask all patients who need a blood test that has been requested by the hospital to call 0300 300 1003 to book an appointment at one of the local clinics providing this service. You will require a blood form from the hospital prior to take with you to your appointment. We envisage this process to remain in place for at least the entirety of the upcoming lockdown period.
